Are You Mobilized and Socialized?
This is a very short blog article on a very important subject – both for the holidays and beyond.
It deals with three aspects of internet marketing which are crucial to your success in the current operating environment.
An environment which will extend forward in time for quite awhile, believe it.
Look at these fairly mind-boggling stats…
According to an informative article written a year or two ago by Jed Singer, Director, Client Engagement at Stuzo, analysts are predicting that social media and mobile will play a larger role than ever when people are shopping for the holidays. And according to a survey conducted by the Mobile Marketing Association, in conjunction with another firm, mobile devices have an increasingly significant impact on purchasing decisions for US consumers, and 87 per cent of US adults have their shopping behavior during holiday seasons affected by a mobile device.
Wow. If you sell products of any kind that would make good holiday gifts or you provide holiday decorations or supplies of any kind, those stats should definitely get your attention.
You can see that to have a GREAT holiday season you must be well represented on the social media networks and your website must be fully optimized for mobile devices.
Also, with Google’s continual refining of their algorithms and the release of Google’s Hummingbird algo, which was their largest algorithm change in years (see earlier blog), it is ESSENTIAL that your webpages’ content can answer up to mobile users’ “conversational” search queries.
3 KEY POINTS
- Strong social media presence
- Website fully optimized for mobile devices
- Quality web page and blog content that can accommodate conversational mobile searches
If you don’t have those mobilized and socialized marketing points in place, you’re already “behind the eight ball.”
However… there’s no time like the present. If you do need to catch up with these issues, start now. A day, a week a month, without all those in place means less qualified website traffic, fewer leads, fewer followers and needless aggravation.
If you know you need to get up to speed on these issues and are not sure how to go about it, contact a professional internet marketing firm that really knows its business, so it can help you get more business.
